- SOURCES SOUGHT - Rehabilitate Water System - Mathews Arm Campground Shenandoah National Park THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY for market research purposes to identify interested vendors for the potential requirement detailed below. A formal solicitation and work statement are not available. Additionally, in accordance with FAR 19.5, Set-Asides for Small Business, the Government will review the information requested in this announcement to determine the type of set-aside (if any) for this requirement, should it come to fruition. All business concerns who believe they can responsibly perform the requirement described below should submit the following information to the Contract Specialist no later than 5PM EST July 8, 2016: 1. Capability statement describing corporate expertise and technical qualifications in the work described above. 2. Past performance information describing other contracts for similar services your company has been awarded. Past performance information should be submitted for projects conducted within the last three years and include: project title, location, whether the work was as a prime or subcontractor, contract/subcontract dollar value, type of contract, percentage of self-performed work, and overall performance rating received. 3. Small business status of vendor (8(a), HUBZone, SDVOSB, etc.) 4. Point of contact information for vendor, Cage Code, and D&B Number. 5. Any other information that will prove the vendor is capable of performing the required effort. Submissions should be emailed to Ian Steinheimer, Contract Specialist, at ian_steinheimer@nps.gov. Responses should be limited to 10 pages (single-sided). NOTE: All information submitted in response to this announcement is voluntary - the Government will not pay for information requested nor will it compensate any respondent for any cost incurred in developing information provided to the Government. Materials submitted to the Government for review will not be returned. Respondents will not be notified of the results of the evaluation. This is not a request for proposals. The Government does not intend to award a contract based on responses received under this announcement. No questions regarding the potential procurement will be answered at this time. This project would rehabilitate the water system for Mathews Arm campground and Piney River administrative area with Shenandoah National Park, which was constructed in 1966. Mathews Arm is a seasonal campground with 150 sites. Piney River provided offices for district Rangers and support facilities for other staff. The work replaces existing water distribution lines (8,600 feet of 4-inch & 2100 feet of 2-inch line); replace existing pump house with a 100 square foot precast concrete building and install new pump, chlorinator, and controls; with bid options to develop a new well supporting new well pump, controls, chlorinator & supporting new well pump precast building; replace existing water distribution lines through campground; replace existing branch lines to existing waste water treatment plant; and replace existing branch lines to Piney River buildings & facilities. Previous executed project replaced the former reservoir with a new reservoir at Piney River. The project is located within the Shenandoah National Park, in the Mathews Arm & Piney River developed area, which is accessed from the Skyline Drive in the vicinity of approximately Mile Post 22, in Virginia. The project is within the north district of the Skyline Drive (north of Thornton Gap Entrance, intersection of Skyline Drive and US Highway 211 and south of Front Royal Entrance, intersection of Skyline Drive and US Highway 340). The Skyline Drive transverses along the ridge of the Blue Ridge Mountains from Front Royal, Virginia to Rockfish Gap (Afton &Waynesboro, Virginia are adjacent to Rockfish Gap). The estimated price magnitude of this project is between $500,000 and $1,000,000.
