N00164-16-S-NC02- SOURCES SOUGHT - MANUFACTURE AND FABRICATION OF MICROWAVE ARRAY DIELECTRIC RADOME MATERIAL - PSC 5810 - NAICS 334419 Issue Date 29-JUN-2016 - Closing Date 06-JUL-2016 This Sources Sought Notice/Request for Information is being posted to satisfy the requirement under the Defense Acquisition Regulations Supplement PGI 206.302-1(d). The Naval Surface Warfare Center Crane Division (NSWCCD) anticipates awarding a follow-on contract on a sole source basis to Rogers Corporation for the manufacture and fabrication of Dielectric Radome Material for the AN/SPS-48E Array System. Under the authority 10 USC 2304(c) (1), FAR 6.302-1, the Government intends to issue a sole source contract to Rogers Corporation located in One Technology Drive, Rogers, CT 06263. Rogers is the sole developer of the radome raw material used to manufacture the dielectric radome material. Rogers is the only capable Vendor with requisite knowledge and experience to adequately provide the dielectric material through the use of specialized tooling and test equipment. At this time, the Government does not possess data or the mixing formula or the processes to make these items. This is a sole source notice published for informational purposes only and not a request for competitive proposals. However, all responsible sources may submit their technical capabilities, which, if received no later than 2:00 PM (EDT) on 06-JUL-2016, shall be considered by NSWCCD. All responses must be submitted to the Government point of contact at the email address shown below. The Contractor must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM), located at http://www.sam.go. Responses must be submitted in writing to the contract specialist, David Stephens, via email at david.r.stephens@navy.mil no later than the date and time noted above. Emailed responses should reference Sources Sought N00164-16-S-NC02 in the subject line. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
