Description
This synopsis is being posted to Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) page located at http://www.FBO.gov. FBO is the single entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the internet. This is a modification to a previously awarded sole source contract. The Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) intends to increase the ceiling and extend the period of performance through 18 June 2018 under contract N00024-12-C-4311 with Bath Iron Works (BIW), 700 Washington Street, Bath, ME 04530-2574, for Integrated Planning Yard (IPY) Services in support of DDG 51/FFG 7 Class Ships. Although the FFG 7 Class has been decommissioned, it is still possible that BIW could receive emergent tasking in support Foreign Military sales, excess material disposal or transfer. Planning Yard efforts include but are not limited to the following types of IPY support: Navy Modernization Program planning; Ship Change planning, development and installation; Operating Cycle Integration Program Management; Warfighting Improvement Plan Engineering; Type Commander Support; Mobile Assist Teams; Rotatable Equipment Pools; Ship Configuration and Logistics Support Information System support and Configuration Data Management; Modeling; Provisioned Items Order and other IPY Material Support; Provisioning Technical Documentation; Designated Technical Manual Maintenance Activity Support; Naval Ships Engineering Drawings Repository system input and data management; Surface Ship Life Cycle Management (SSLCM) support; interface and coordination with Regional Maintenance Centers for availability work and test packages; other logistics and executing activity coordination; management of all related class Ship Selected Record Data; Hull Mechanical and Electrical Engineering Standardization efforts; and Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages (DMS/MS) identification, tracking and resolution support.
