Description
Technical Requirements for Laboratory Instrument Maintenance Services MINIMUM TECHNICAL EVALUATION REQUIREMENTS Listed below are technical requirements vendors must meet to be considered technically acceptable: - Vendors should have engineers on their staffs that are trained through experience and/or formal training courses to conduct repairs and maintenance on the laboratory instruments listed in this announcement. - Vendors should have engineers on their staffs that are knowledgeable, reliable, and efficient regarding the repair and maintenance of the instruments listed in this announcement. - Vendors should be able to service instruments that contain parts from several manufacturers. - Vendors shall repair and maintain the systems listed in this announcement against all instrument failures (excluding consumables). - Vendors shall include all parts, labor, and travel for the preventive maintenance and the on-site repair of the instruments. - Vendors shall provide at least one preventive maintenance (PM) visit per year for each instrument listed. During the visit, work will be performed on the instrument to assure long-term performance and reliability. Scheduling of preventive maintenance visits should be initiated by the Vendor within one month of the contract ending period if visit has not been conducted prior. - Vendors shall provide unlimited phone support (response time should be within 4 hours) - Vendors shall provide a 48-hours on-site response time when on-site repairs are required. - Vendors shall provide documentation that the preventive maintenance and/or repair was completed, including placing a small sticker on the instrument indicating the date of the PM/repair and the next due date. - Payments shall be made in arrears on a quarterly basis.
