Source Sought Notice: The 42d Contracting Squadron, Maxwell AFB, AL is seeking sources from industry to assist in finalizing the acquisition strategy for the purchase of Dormitory Mattresses and Box Springs. The Government is seeking qualified, experienced sources interested in providing the items identified in the attached Statement of Requirements (SOR). The table below identifies the Governments requirement: Item No. Description of Requirement Quantity 0001 Blackout Drapes 92"w X 73"L custom made ripplefold Drapes. Snapped tape is hemmed to flat panels. Hardware is visible as drapery is suspended below track. Style: Center pull 240 ea 0002 Installation 1 ea NOTES OF IMPORTANCE: •1. A solicitation does not exist for this requirement. This is only a sources sought notice, so please do not submit proposals. The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this notice •2. If the government decides to pursue a solicitation, portions of your sources sought notice response may be incorporated into the final solicitation. Respondents are discouraged from submitting any information deemed competition-sensitive or proprietary. •3. Respondents will not be reimbursed for any costs incurred in responding to this notice. Information submitted will not be returned to the respective respondents. •4. Oral submissions of information will not be considered in response to this notice To assist the Government in developing a potential acquisition strategy, please provide the following information: •1. GENERAL INFORMATION : •a. Company's full name, business size, address, point of contact and telephone number. 2. CAPABILITIES: Please address the following regarding your capabilities in meeting the requirements contained in the attached "draft" SOR: a. Does your company provide Blackout Drapes? Please answer yes or no, if your company is capable of fulfilling this requirement. b. If your company can meet this requirement please provide a yes or no response, to the following questions in regards to the non-manufacturer rule: i. Please provide the socioeconomic status of your business? ii. If your company is a small business will your company manufacturer the items? Please answer Yes or No. iii. If your company is a small business and does not manufacturer the required items will your company purchase the required items from a small business manufacturer? Please answer Yes or No. e. Project Milestone Plan (PMP). As a part of this RFI, the Government would like to obtain the standard lead time for the delivery and installation of the products contained in the table above and the attached SOR. Please provide the specified time period it will take your company to deliver and install the required items. Attachment (1): (Draft) Statement of Requirements Blackout Drapes 1.0 INTRODUCTION. Maxwell AFB, AL requires the purchase and installation of Blackout drapes for the OTS dorms 1489 1491 i n the locations specified in Appendix A. 2.0 DESCRIPTION OF ITEMS. The following items are required for performance under this contract. 2.1. Drapes: The contractor shall provide 240 blackout drapes that meet specifications in sections 2.1.1- 2.1.2.1 2.1.1. The contractor shall provide 240 Blackout Drapes that meets the following minimum requirements: 2.1.1.1. Blackout lined drapes lining must be cloth 2.1.1.2. Conventional Pinch pleats 2.1.1.3. Heavy Duty baton draw rods, two way draw. 2.1.1.4. Fabrics must meet or exceed Flame retardancy standards NFPA 701. 2.1.1.5. Fabric color TBD100% polyester 2.1.1.6. Weights at corners of bottom hem 2.1.1.7. Blackout Drapes 92"W X 73"L 2.1.1.8. Custom Made Ripplefold Drapes including Hardware Tracks, Pull Rods and Hooks 2.1.1.9. Wall mounted track just below the ceiling with drapes suspended from hooks under the wall mounted track. (Wall is sheetrock) Window dimensions 72 wide x 60 high. 2.1.2.0. Drape will be mounted just below the ceiling and hang blow the window total length of drapes is 73inches. Drapes will open pass the widow on both sides total track length will be 92 inches. 2.1.2.1. Snapped tape is hemmed to flat panels. With weights at bottom corners. Style: Center Pull, Fullness 100%. Fabric: Blackout Fabric. 2.2 INSTALLATION REQUIREMENTS : 2.2.1. The contractor shall be responsible for providing all labor to deliver and install all of the Drapes. The contractor shall complete delivery and installation of the Drapes free of any defects. The delivery of the Drapes is subject to acceptance by the Government. The Contracting Officer reserves the right to accept or reject the drapes. If the Drapes are not accepted the contractor may be responsible for replacement or repair of any drapes deemed damaged by the Contracting Officer at no additional cost to the Government 2.2.2 The Contractor is responsible for transporting and unloading old drapes and hardware at base supply bldg.1154 less than 2 miles from the buildings. Contractor is responsible to dispose of all trash in contractor provided dumpsters. 3.0. DELIVERY REQUIREMENTS: The contractor shall propose a realistic delivery date for meeting the requirements identified in this solicitation. The delivery date shall take into consideration availability, ordering, shipping, installation and any other factors that may affect the delivery of the items proposed under this solicitation. The contract completion date shall be expressed in terms of days after contract award. If the contractor fails to meet its proposed delivery date the contract maybe subject to provide the Government with equitable consideration for not meeting the proposed delivery date. 4.0. WARRANTY: The contractor shall provide any OEM pass through warranty and standard commercial warranties applicable to the products being purchased at no cost and provide the Government with a copy of the warranty prior to contract award. 5.0 GENERAL INFORMATION: Items must be brand new. Refurbished items are not authorized.
