Description
Notice of Intent: The Department of Veterans Affairs, VISN 05, in accordance with FAR 6.302.1 (only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements) intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with EOC Solutions, LLC to identify and correct deficiencies in smoke and fire walls. NAICS 541690 applies. The Contractor shall survey all fire and smoke walls as identified on the facility life safety drawings, quarterly in an effort to identify all penetrations and deficiencies. For individual penetrations less than one square foot of aggregate wall space, contractor shall repair of deficiencies to include demolition of foreign material (mortar, tape, drywall mud, foam, etc.) and subsequent installation of a UL-rated firestop system in accordance with manufacturer's recommendations, UL cut sheets, and engineering-approved assembly applications Infection control and ILSM requirements shall be satisfied at all times. All work shall be done at the Department of Veterans Affairs, 50 Irving Street, NW, Washington, DC 20422, for the period from date of award through September 30, 2016 with Four (4) One (1) Year Option Periods. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. It is not a solicitation or request for offers. No solicitation package is available. A determination not to compete is solely within the discretion of the Government. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government. Responses must be received no later than 3:30 pm on July 5, 2016. No telephone or email inquiries will be accepted. All responses must be mailed to Department of Veterans Affairs, Attn: Charles Willis; 849 International Drive, Linthicum, MD 21090.
