Description
Request for Information This is a Request for Information (RFI). The U.S. Army Medical Research Institute of Infectious Diseases (USAMRIID) Department of Virology is seeking potential sources capable of providing four small animal hematology analyzer equipment capable of accurately analyzing hematological parameters with a minimal sample for monkeys, mice, marmosets, guinea pigs, and ferrets. This is a Brand Name or Equal acquisition. SMALL ANIMAL HEMATOLOGY ANALYZER Brand Name: Hemavet 950FS Manufacturer: Drew Scientific Group Brand Name or Equal Qty.Part No. Description 4 ERBA DIAGNO CDC-9950-001 Hemavet 950FS Research Model 4 Laser Jet Printer 4 Start-Up Reagent Kit 4 Alpha/Numeric ID Keyboard 4 Serial Interface Port and Specifications 4 50 Specimen Data Storage 4 Full-Year Warranty on all parts and labor 4 Installation & Onsite Training 4 Shipping & Handling Minimal Essential Characteristics (MEC) Veterinary Multi-species Hematology System for Research Applications Brand Name or Equal •Shall be designed specifically for veterinary research applications •Shall run samples for a minimum of twenty parameters including but not limited to WBC, NE#, NE%, LY#, LY%, MO#, MO%, EO#, EO%, BA#, BA%, RBC, Hb, HCT, MCV, MCH, MCHC, RDW, NRBC#, NRBC% •Shall provide platelet count, MPV •Shall be capable of providing an 8.5" x 11" report with species specific normal ranges as well as 3D cytograms including WBC subpopulations, RBCs, PLTs •Shall be capable of running a minimum of 25 samples per hour •Shall require a maximum sample volume of 25 µL whole blood •Shall be capable of running a minimum of six species types including but not limited to ferret, guinea pig, monkey, mouse, rabbit, rat •Shall be a fully automated open vial whole blood sample delivery with automated probe wiping •Shall be simple to operate with one touch walk-away sample processing •Shall be a low maintenance machine with optimized reagents and controls •Shall offer multi-species controls for GLP compliance •Shall provide internal data storage for a minimum of the last 50 samples run •Shall have a maximum sample cycle time of 2.5 minutes •Shall have an LCD display and port for external computer interface •Shall be capable of providing hematologic abnormality charts indicating mild, moderate and severe conditions Potential Sources shall provide costs for products inclusive of shipping and delivery as well as required lead time from receipt of order to shipping. The Capability package must be clear, concise, complete and shall also include (in additional to the minimum essential characteristics above), at a minimum; 1) Identification of organization's name, address, telephone number, and point of contact; 2) Organization Size/ownership of business, i.e. large, small, small disadvantaged, 8(a), Disabled-Veteran, Veteran, Women-owned Business, and Hub-zone; 3) Number of years in business; 4) Cage Code, DUNS# and Tax ID# (TIN#); 5) identification of Organization's GSA Schedules/Federal Supply Schedules. This RFI does not constitute an Invitation for Bid or a Request for Proposals, nor should it be considered as a commitment on the part of the Government. The information received WILL NOT obligate the Government in any manner nor will the Government reimburse companies for any costs associated with submittal of this RFI. Any information obtained as a result of this RFI is intended to be used by the Government on a non-attribution basis for market research determining most current industry advances in small animal hematology analyzer equipment. By submitting information in response to this RFI, respondents consent to the release and dissemination of submitted information to any Government or non-Government entity for review. NO phone calls and/or request for a Solicitation will be accepted or acknowledged. Company Brochures are NOT desired.
