- Description
- The Naval Air Systems Command awarded a Cost Plus Incentive Fee (CPIF) Contract on a sole source Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) order with Lockheed Martin Mission Systems and Training (LM MST), Owego, NY. The anticipated order is for the effort required to integrate and test the Software Product Improvement (SWPI) being completed on the aircraft operating system into MH-60R aircraft. This procurement is a continuation of the previous MH-60S Software Product Improvement efforts and will include LM MST's support of the integration and test of SWPI products on the Gen III, Gen V Gen VI Mission Computers (MCs). This requirement will add MH-60S SWPI efforts include the continuation of the MH-60R/S Mission Computer software re-architecture to achieve software modernization, modularization, to support open architecture, Future Airborne Capability Environment (FACE) initiatives, computer resource load balancing, and to integrate the resulting SWPI Products into the MH-60R/S SC18 Product Line for Fleet Release. The SWPI effort shall produce several aircraft System Configurations; both engineering builds; as well as, full Product Test Verification (PTV) System Configurations for Contractor and Government Lab and Flight Testing. This requirement was procured in accordance with FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. LM MST has the proprietary technical data, experience, and equipment, to complete the effort within the required timeframe.
