- Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock, Little Creek detachment is seeking sources sought for the collaborative research efforts of Magnetic Anomaly Detection (MAD) to include the lease of Convair-580 that is outfitted and quieted to make very low noise measurements. This is anticipated to be done as a sole source requirement to National Research Council (NRC). The period of performance is fiscal year 16 to fiscal year 17. To be negotiated on a sole source basis with National Research Council (NRC) per FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals prior to offer due date, which will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination not to compete this action based upon responses received to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
