- Specifications and Pictures This is a solicitation in accordance with FAR Part 36. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Pittsburgh District, has a requirement for the removal and replacement of the existing split HVAC system, including the outdoor heat pump condenser, indoor evaporator coil, air handler/furnace, refrigerant lines, safety disconnect, heating vent pipes, and condensate drain lines. The Contractor shall replace the existing HVAC system with a new Energy Star rated, air-cooled, split system which employs an outdoor heat pump, an indoor evaporator coil integrated with a propane furnace, interconnecting refrigerant piping and wiring, and a new safety disconnect. The magnitude of this project is between $25,000 and $100,000. This procurement is a firm-fixed price, Small Business Set-Aside. All responsible offerors are encouraged to participate. The period of performance to complete all work will be 120 days after the contractor receives a Notice to Proceed. This solicitation is being issued as a Request for Quote through the Federal Business Opportunities website ( www.fbo.gov ), therefore, requests for hardcopies of the solicitation will not be honored. In order to receive notification of any amendments to this solicitation, interested vendors must register as an interested vendor in the www.fbo.gov website. If you are not registered, the Government is not responsible for providing notification of changes to the solicitation.
