Description

This is a Sources Sought only. The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is performing market research to determine if there are any vendors with economic status of Service Disabled Veteran Owned, Veteran Owned, Women Owned, and other Small Businesses that can provide care for homeless Veterans in San Francisco. The projected period of performance is October 1, 2016 through September 30, 2017 with up to 4 option years. The socio-economic status of the responders will determine the type of set-aside, if any. Summary of Work The type of patients to be cared for under this contract will normally require care and services above the level of room and board, such services to typically include case management, substance abuse treatment and or Mental Health treatment. The facility shall provide a safe, supportive, compassionate environment for veterans to safely withdraw from alcohol and non-prescribed drugs. Social detoxification may include physician prescribed medications to manage potential complications. The facility shall meet all local, state and federal licensing requirements and health codes for providing on a regular basis treatment and rehabilitative services. The facility shall maintain a current facility occupancy permit, state license, insurance and provide copies of these documents to the VA upon request. (Please see the attached DRAFT PWS for additional information.) There is no solicitation document as this time. The NAICS is 623220 with Small Business size of $15 million. NOTE: Please ensure that SAM indicates this NAICS code if you are interested in the requirement. Only firms interested should send their information and/or capability statement and any questions by email to ricky.woods@va.gov no later than 4:00 PM Pacific Standard Time, July 11, 2016. Socio-economic status such as Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business, VOSB, Women-Owned Small Business, etc. should be included. Status will be verified using VetBiz.
