- THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTE - THIS IS A NOTICE OF THE GOVERNMENT'S INTENT TO ISSUE A SOLE SOURCE AWARD: The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Grain Inspection, Packers and Stockyards Administration (GIPSA), Federal Grain Inspection Service (FGIS) FOSS in Kansas City, MO intends to negotiate a sole source award to Seedburo of Des Plaines, IL for three Carter Dockage testers -model XT7, one Seedburo Sieve Shaker, one Gamet 4-way Power Divider, One 0.028" X 15/32" slotted commercial sieve, and one 0.0395" X 15/32" slotted commercial sieve. The USDA, Animal Health Inspection Service (APHIS) intends to award a sole source Firm Fixed Price purchase order under the statutory authority permitting Other than Full and Open Competition per statutory authority is 41 U.S.C. 253( c )(1) FAR 6.302-1 to Seedburo for three Carter Dockage testers -model XT7, one Seedburo Sieve Shaker, one Gamet 4-way Power Divider, One 0.028" X 15/32" slotted commercial sieve, and one 0.0395" X 15/32" slotted commercial sieve. The property or services needed are available from only one responsible qualified source at this time and no other type of property or services will satisfy these needs. This notice of intent is NOT a request for proposals or quotations. Request for copies of a solicitation in response to this notice will not be honored or acknowledged. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action is based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether conducting a competitive procurement is in the best interest of the Government. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability by responding to this requirement, no later than 4:00 P.M. CST on July 19, 2016, by email to Jeanine.j.goral@aphis.usda.gov. Please use reference# PR-805175 when responding. No telephone inquiries will be honored. All information submitted should support the offerors capability to provide the items required, and shall be furnished at no cost or obligation to the Government. The Government reserves the right to cancel the Sole Source Award.
