- Description
- The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Philadelphia District has a requirement for two (2) two welded steel barges including delivery to Mobile, Alabama. The barges will be used to transport and store the District's stop logs used for lock maintenance and construction activities. The steel barges dimensions are 150'x52'x7'. Further details of this requirement will be outlined in the solicitation scope of work. Delivery and final acceptance will be at U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Mobile District. More information about delivery and acceptance will be included in the solicitation. There will be liquidated damages associated with this procurement. Bid guarantee, payment, and performance bonding will be required. The NAICS code is 336611 and the size standard is 1250 employees. This procurement is 100% set-aside for small business. The acquisition will be procured using the procedures listed in FAR part 14. The Invitation for Bid W912BU-16-B-0021 will be issued on or about 20 July 2016 with a bid opening date of on or about 23 August 2016 at 1400 hours EST. Hard copies will not be available and written or fax requests will not be accepted. The official media of distribution for this IFB is the web. Contractors may download the IFB (including any drawings) and any amendments via the Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) web site at www.fbo.gov, on or after the issue date. It is the offeror's responsibility to monitor the FedBizOpps web site for any amendments. Interested firms must register at FedBizOpps in order to access the solicitation. Offerors are responsible for printing copies of the RFP and any amendments. All offers shall be delivered hard copy to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Philadelphia District, Wanamaker Building, Room 643, 100 Penn Square East, Philadelphia, PA 19107-3390, Attn: Justin Chung. All offerors who provide goods or services to the Federal Government must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) located on the website https://www.sam.gov. Additionally, all Services Disabled/Veterans Owned Business or Veterans Owned Small Business must be registered with the Department of Veterans Affairs Center of Veterans Enterprise Vet Biz Registry located at https://www.vip.vetbiz.gov/.
