- Sources Sought/Request for Information - Levee Gravel Resurfacing. This market survey is for information only, to be used for preliminary planning purposes. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION FOR PROPOSALS AND NO CONTRACT WILL BE AWARDED FROM THIS SYNOPSIS. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this synopsis or any follow-up information requests. The purpose of this synopsis is to gain knowledge of interest, capabilities and qualifications of all firms interested in participating in the competition to compete and perform a fixed price construction contract. The Government will not pay for any information provided as a result of this market survey. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Memphis District is planning to solicit/award a contract to experienced source(s) capable of performing a wide range of construction projects. The work consists of furnishing all plant, labor and materials for placement and compaction of limestone gravel on levee crowns and ramps at various locations in Missouri according to the specifications and plans. All interested, capable, qualified and responsive contractors are encouraged to reply to this sources sought synopsis. The Government is requesting interested contractors to furnish the following information: (1) Company name, address, point of contact, telephone number, and e-mail address; (2) Type of Business (small, small disadvantaged, Service Disabled Veteran, Women-owned, or HUBZone small business concerns); (3) State your bonding capacity as of the date of your response. All responses will be reviewed for preliminary planning purposes in determining future acquisition strategy. (4) Provide no more than five (5) references, of the most recent and relevant contracts, performed within the last three (3) years of work same/ similar in nature. Include name, address, telephone number, and e-mail address of references. Also provide a brief description of the work performed, contract number, total contract value, and period of performance. Submission of information should be limited to not more than five (5) pages. Please provide affirmation that your firm can comply with the following minimum requirements: FAR 52.219-14, Limitations on Subcontracting, requires that a small business concern perform at least 15 percent of the cost of the contract, not including the cost of materials, with its own employees. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) Code applicable to this requirement is 237990, Other Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction. The Small Business Size Standard for this requirement is $36.5 million. The estimated cost of this project is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000.
