Description

NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE: Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Network Contracting Office 2 (NCO 2) intends to award a sole source contract award to Datex Ohmeda, 3030 Ohmeda Drive, Madison, WI 53718-6704. The period of performance for contract award will be from October 1, 2016 through September 30, 2021. This requirement is to provide all necessary labor and materials for service on six (6) GE Datex-Ohmeda Aespire View 7900 Anesthesia Machines and associated vaporizers utilized by Anesthesiology in the operating room, located at the Stratton Albany VA Medical Center, 113 Holland Avenue, Albany, New York 12208-3410. The service agreement will cover the following government furnished equipment: DescriptionSerial #Qty. Aespire View Anesthesia MachineAPHR011492 Aespire View Anesthesia MachineAPHR011472 Aespire View Anesthesia MachineAPHR011462 Aespire View Anesthesia MachineAPHR011452 Aespire View Anesthesia MachineAPHR011482 Aespire View Anesthesia MachineAPHS017062 Vaporizer Efficacy Testingvarious1 Datex Ohmeda is the only known provider since the maintenance can only be provided by Datex Ohmeda. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES; however, any firm that believes it can meet the requirements may give written notification prior to the response due date and time. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to perform the requirements. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, the Government will proceed with the award. Responses are due by July 15, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. (ET). Responses shall be submitted via e-mail to Kimberly.wiatrowski@va.gov. Telephone requests or inquiries will not be accepted.
