- SOLICITATION NOTICE: The VA National Acquisition Center has issued a Request for Proposal (RFP) VA797P-16-R-0071 for an unrestrictive procurement for Glipizide ER Tablets for the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Department of Defense (DOD), Indian Health Service (IHS) and Bureau of Prisons (BOP). The contract period will be for one year plus four pre-priced one-year option periods. The contract items will be distributed through the VA's and DOD's respective Pharmaceutical Prime Vendor Programs. Offerors must state the exact name (name that appears on label) by which the drug will be supplied and have a unique NDC number. All tablets/bottles must be compatible with automated dispensing units (Baxter ATC Canisters, Optifil, etc.). All bottles of 100 tablets/capsules or less must have a child resistant closure. If the offeror is not a manufacturer, a signed agreement between the offeror and the manufacturer must be submitted with the offer and remain in effect for the duration of the contract period including the option years. Solicitation No VA797P-16-R-0071 has been electronically issued in commercial item format in accordance with FAR Part 12 on July 5, 2016 with a closing date of July 19, 2016.
