- This is a sources sought notice and is not a solicitation to request for quote and no purchase order shall be awarded from this synopsis. It is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation or ultimately award a contract and, it does not obligate the government to pay for any document preparation costs. The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), Office of Acquisition and Grants (OAG) is conducting market research to locate potential sources to provide: GPS LOGGER: SPECS for Raccoon Transmitters: Collar dimensions need to fit our study species, which requires a collar of 20-35 cm for raccoons. We can use a collar up to 150 g for raccoons, although smaller is preferable. SPECS for Skunks Transmitters: Collar dimensions need to fit our study species, which requires a collar of 14 ¿ 25 cm for skunks. The tag needs to be approximately 3% or less of body weight, so the maximum tag size for skunks can be approximately 65g and an even smaller tag of 45 g would be most ideal. Minimum of 3 month transmitter lifespan (BUT MUST LAST > 45 days) sampling every 15 min for > 15 hours per day < 65 g total weight (maximum mass for skunks) VHF add-on UHF remote download Reasonable distance range for collar download Collar dimensions that can accommodate both skunks and raccoons The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 334220- Radio and Television Broadcasting and Wireless Communications Equipment Manufacturing, size standards in number of employees is 1250.
