- THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS (RFP) OR A REQUEST FOR QUOTATIONS (RFQ); NO CONTRACT WILL BE AWARDED PURSUANT TO THIS ANNOUNCEMENT. This synopsis is for information and planning purposes only and is not to be construed as a commitment by the government. This is NOT a Request for Proposal, Invitation for Bid, or an announcement of a solicitation. Response to this SOURCES SOUGHT is strictly voluntary and will not affect any firms' ability to submit an offer if a solicitation is released. There is no bid package or solicitation document associated with this announcement. The purpose of this document is to identify potential sources. Any requests for a solicitation package will be disregarded. The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this source sought or otherwise pay for the information solicited. No entitlement to payment of direct or indirect costs or charges by the Government will arise as a result of preparing submissions in response to this sources sought and the Government's use of such information. This sources sought is being conducted to identify potential Small Manufactures/Authorized Distributors capable of producing or supplying Brand Name Or Equal equipment. Required Performance Capabilities: 1.STATEMENT OF WORK 1.1Automated compounder capable of TPN manufacturer as well as cardioplegia and continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT). 1.2Interface with TPN calculation software 2.Specific Requirement 2.1 24 lead compounder (plus a back-up) capable of pumping 24 separate ingredients from plastic, glass or syringe containers. 2.2 System offers on-site training for compounder 2.3 Interfaces with ABACUS TPN Calculation software 2.4 Perform gravimetric check following compounding operation. 2.5 0.2ml minimum pumping volume 2.6 Self-calibrating pump 2.7Ability to detect air and occlusion within the tubing sets. 2.8Electronic Y-sites to minimize source container changeovers. 2.9Warning indicator for incompatible mixing sequences. 3.Integrated scale to weigh product. 4.Closed system type. 4.1System must be able to produce a record of mixing activity for audit and quality assurance purposes. 4.2System can track component Lot numbers and expiration dates 4.3Calibration report produced by the system meets United States Pharmacopeia Chapter 797 recommendations (USP 797). 4.4System to utilize a laser barcode reader (plus back-up) to verify additive components and final product label. 4.5System to utilize color monitor (plus back-up) 4.6System to include an electronic weight scale (plus back-up) 4.7System interfaces with printer for report generation 4.8System must be capable of generating a zebra or equivalent type label 4.9Software must be compatible with Microsoft Windows operating system 5.Systems barcode reader shall be able to interface with current medication order entry system. 5.1System shall include dedicated computer for operation with color capable monitor. 5.2Lease contract for compounder that also includes the ability to purchase any necessary supply items Information is being collected from Small or Large Manufactures and authorized distributors at this time to determine if this requirement can be met using a small business set-aside. All respondents are required to certify if they currently meet the small business requirements under the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code [339112], All Other Miscellaneous General Purpose Machinery Manufacturing, as of the date of their submittal. CAPABILITY STATEMENT - Any potential Manufacturer must demonstrate the following: 1) The offeror shall submit a technical description or product literature for the system/equipment(s) it is proposing. Capability Statement(s) should clearly identify the following: a. Name of the Manufacturer, make, model, quantity and Country of Origin where the units are produced (domestic and/or international); b. A signed statement to state, "We are the Manufacturer of the equipment. We are authorized distributors of company X"; c. Percentage of the work performed by either the Large and/or Small Business Manufacturer; d. Name of company(ies) that are authorized to sell the system components, their addresses, and POC for the company (name, phone number, fax number and email address); e. Estimated Number of days, after receipt of order that is typical for delivery of such system(s); f. Any other relevant information that is not listed above which the Government should consider in developing its minimum specifications and finalizing its market research. 2) Provide the following business information: a. DUNS number b. Company Name c. Company Address (including point of contact, phone number and email address) d. Type/Size of company, NAICS code as validated in SAMS. Respondents will NOT be notified of the results of the evaluation.
