- Description
- The 5th Contracting Squadron has a requirement for 195 nuclear hardened electret microphones and microphone bracket kits to install in aircrew oxygen masks. The brackets are used to mount the microphones onto the MBU-12/P oxygen mask and MBU-20/P oxygen mask. The microphone is used with the B-52H aircraft communications modernization program known Combat Network Communications Technology (CONECT) system. The 5th Contracting Squadron intends to procure this requirement from a single source in accordance with FAR 13.106-1(b) 'Soliciting from a single source.' The 5th Contracting Squadron intends to enter into a firm, fixed-price contract with Intricon Corporation, 1260 Red Fox Road Arden Hills, MN 55112-6944. The NAICS code for this procurement is 334310 with a size standard not to exceed 750 employees. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES and no solicitation will be issued; however, any responsible source that believes it can meet the requirement may give written notification to the Contracting Officer. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the requirement listed. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
