Description

Descriptions of Equipment The FDA is seeking to find vendors that can provide the following equipment. The Opto-mechanical equipment is required to expand / improve WEAC capability for regulatory testing of a wider variety and greater complexity of light emitting Electronic Products under PAC 86006E (Sunlamps and sunlamp products / Domestic laser products), PAC 82008 (Imported medical devices / UV eyewear testing), PAC 86007 (Imported electronic products / lasers), and other Electronic Product / Medical Device testing program requirements. The existing facilities and equipment make alignment for precision measurements cumbersome and extremely time consuming. The proposed equipment will facilitate testing of consumer and industrial light emitting Electronic Products and reduce the uncertainties of these accredited measurements. The Opto-mechanical equipment must be backward compatible to existing equipment already being used for Electronic Product / Medical Device testing. The equipment identified meets this requirement.
