- The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Galveston District Office has a future requirement For Gulf Intracoastal Waterway (GIWW), Texas Placement Areas (PA) Nos. 93 and 112B Rehabilitation and Shoreline Protection in Brazoria and Matagorda Counties, Texas. This project will require the contractor to Replace Drop Outlet Structure at PA 93; Rehab drop outlet structure at PA 112B; Dike Raising and Training Dike at PA 112B (Approx 135,000 CY) to 25ft NAVD88; Dewatering PA 93 (Approx 2,000 LF) ACB protection at PA 11 (Approx 1,000 LF) Description of Principle Items of Work GIWW Pas 93 and 112B Schedule 1: Replace drop Outlet Structure at PA 93 Rehab drop outlet structure at PA 112B; Dike Raising and Training Dike at PA 112B (approx. 135,000 CY) to 25 ft NAVD88' Dewatering PA 93 (approx. 8,300 LF)' Articulated Concrete Block (ACB) erosion Protection at PA 93 (approx. 2,000 LF) ACB protection at PA 112B (approx. 1,000 LF). Options: Option 1- Additional 2 ft Dike raise t PA 112B (approx. 81,000 CY). Additional time of 45 calendar days will be added if awarded; Option 2 - ACB Erosion Protection at PA 93 (approx. 270 LF). Additional time of 3 calendar days will be added if awarded; Option 3 - Marine Mattress Erosion Protection PA 93 (approx. 270 LF). Option 3 would be in lieu of Option 2 if exercised. Additional time of 30 calendar days will be added if awarded. NOTE: - Options 2 and 3 are different types of erosion protection covering the same project location. Only one of the two will be awarded. Completion time for Schedule No. 1 is 120 calendar day. The order of magnitude for this effort is estimated between $1,000,000.00 to $5,000,000.00. The estimated award date for this project is 15 September 2016. The contractor will be required to provide Performance and Payment Bonds within (5) calendar days after award. The contractor shall begin work within (10) calendar days after acknowledgement of the Notice to Proceed. If the contractor fails to complete the work within the time specified, the contractor shall pay liquidated damages to the Government in the amount of $1,303.00 for each calendar day of delay until the work is completed or accepted. The Government contemplates awarding a Firm-Fixed Price contract. This will be an "Unrestricted Procurement" This synopsis is not an obligation of the Government and all information sent in is voluntary. The Solicitation will be issued on or about 26 July 2016. To be considered small for purposes of Government procurement, a firm must perform at least 51 percent of the work with its own equipment.
