- This is a market survey to locate potential sources to manufacture and provide engineering support services to the AN/ASN-128D Doppler Global Positioning System (GPS) Navigation Set (DGNS). The proposed contract requirements will include hardware production, repair and engineering support services including assured positioning navigation timing study, integration and testing support, hardware and software upgrades/updates for the AN/ASN-128D DGNS. The AN/ASN-128D is a pre-planned product improvement to provide enhanced GPS capability and Instrument Flight Rules capability as well as Automatic Dependent Surveillance-Broadcast Out capability to support the Army helicopters. The hardware production and delivery requirements shall include multiple component items comprising the AN/ASN-128D DGNS. These items include the Signal Data Converter and its associated Circuit Card Assemblies (CCAs), the Computer Display Unit and its associated CCAs and the Receiver-Transmitter Antenna. The Government does not possess a complete technical data package for the AN/ASN-128D DGNS. Suppliers capable of providing the hardware and support services must so indicate in writing to PM-AME Field Office, ATTN: SFAE-AV-AS-AME (Chung), 6007 Combat Drive, F3-140-131, Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD 21005. The response must include documentation such as drawings, test data/results, and other technical information demonstrating that the supplier can provide the required hardware, software and services. The intent of this Sources Sought announcement is to conduct market research to determine if responsible sources exist and to assist in determining if this effort can be competitive and/or set aside for Small Business. The Government will use this information to determine the best acquisition strategy for a potential procurement action. Interested sources are advised that the Government will not pay for any information or any administrative costs incurred that are associated with any response received from industry in response to this Market Survey. Therefore, any costs associated with Market Survey/Sources Sought submissions will be solely at the interested source's expense. This Market Survey does not guarantee a contract by the Government.
