- 1.The Department of VA, VISN 6 Network Contracting Office (NCO6) is seeking potential sources to provide radiopharmaceutical products to the Durham VA Medical Center, Durham, North Carolina. Potential source shall provide this requirement in accordance with Public Law 104-262 and 38 USC 8153 and under the guidance of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission and NAICS code 325412 - Pharmaceutical Preparation Manufacturing. This Sources Sought Notice is to assist in finalizing a market survey of potential sources only. No solicitation is currently published, pending or available. 2.Potential sources are to respond by email at olin.newsome@va.gov no later than July 21, 2016 at 12pm (EST), and provide to following information: a.Business Size (i.e. Small Business, SDVOSB, Woman Owned Small Business etc..) b.DUNS Number c.Tax Identification Number 3.Synopsis of minimum technically acceptable requirements: a.Located within 100 miles radius of the Durham VAMC b.Past Performance - Provided radiopharmaceuticals to a VA Medical Center within the last 36 months c.Can provide the Syntrac or a BioDose/ec ² software mechanism for electronic tracking of radiopharmaceuticals receipt and patient dose administration including software and hardware support, with emphasis on meeting quality assurance and regulatory documentation d.Can provide radiopharmaceuticals in accordance with Public Law 104-262 and 38 USC 8153 and under the guidance of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission e.Comply to the guidance of the January 3, 2014 Memorandum from the Under Secretary for Health, under the request of the White House Interagency Policy Committee that the VA preferentially procure medical radioisotopes from non-High Enriched Uranium (HEU) sources. As a point of clarification, the VA does not purchase uranium. The radioisotope vendors purchase uranium to generate Tc-99m. Whether Tc-99m is with HEU or non-HEU, the radioisotope is the same. Therefore, transition to a non-HEU vendor will not otherwise affect your operations. f.Process a current Radioactive Material License through the Radioactive Material Branch, Radiation Protection Section N.C. Department of the Health and Human Services.
