Description

NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE DEPARTMENT OF VETERANS AFFAIRS - NORTH FLORIDA/SOUTH GEORGIA July 07, 2016, 10:00 am Notice of Intent to Sole Source reference FAR 13.106-1(b) and FAR 6.302-1. The Malcom Randall VAMC is procuring the following services from Shands Teaching Hospital and Clinic - the pickup of routine and stat specimens, the transport of specimens to the Shands testing site, the process and test of specimens, and the report of the results of specimens. These services shall be done in accordance with methods outlined in the SOW. These services are to be available twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week. Pickup, testing, and delivery of stat lab samples will occur thrice daily. The Malcom Randall VAMC intends to award on a sole source basis. IAW 10 USC 2304(c)(1) and FAR 6.302-1 a contract to Shands Teaching Hospital and Clinic, 1600 SW Archer Road, Gainesville, FL 32608, is the only responsible source to provide this service within the defined time constraints. The applicable NAICS code is 541380 and the size standard is $15.0 million dollars. Sources may identify their interest and capabilities by responding to this Intent to Sole Source notice. This notice, however, is NOT a request for quotation or solicitation of offers and no solicitation is available. All responses to this notice that are received within three days of its publication will be considered. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement is solely within the discretion of the Government.
