Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs, Buffalo Regional Office Vocational Rehabilitation & Employment Service intends to solicit a firm fixed price contract for home remodeling services for a Chapter 31 Veteran's residence located in Grand Island, New York. A Request for Quotes for this project is estimated to be released on or about July 25, 2016. Details will be available in the upcoming solicitation. Interested parties are encouraged to periodically re-visit the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) website: www.fbo.gov for further information concerning this intended acquisition. Project Description: Remodel an existing computer room into a combination bathroom with a roll in shower and a laundry area. The work for this project will include demolition, construction of new walls, moving an existing pocket door, installing a new pocket door, electrical and plumbing work, painting and installing a new washer and dryer, roll in shower, toilet, flooring, grab bars and bathroom vanity. The house is over 100 years old and is anticipated to be able to safely withstand the modifications without structural damage. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, tools, transportation and supplies, and perform all work required according to the specifications of the contract. The Contractor will be responsible for all permits as required by the local township. The Contractor shall assume all risk, loss, damage, or expense arising out of prosecution of the work, except as otherwise provided in the contract. Contractor is responsible for all field conditions, dimensions and measurements prior to any work performed.
