- REPAIR WEST GATE ACTIVE VEHICLE BARRIER (AVB) This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This solicitation is being issued as a Request For Quotation (RFQ) IAW FAR Part 12 & 13 Procedures. The RFQ number is FA4800-16-T-0020. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This acquisition is full and open competition under the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code 811310. The SIC Code is 7699. All responsible small business sources may submit proposals that will be considered by the agency. The contract will be awarded on a firm-fixed-price basis using simplified acquisition procedures in accordance with FAR Part 13.5. The Government intends to award a firm-fixed price contract. Award will be made to the responsible, technically acceptable quoter, whose quote, conforming to the combined synopsis/solicitation, offers the best value to the Government. The contractor shall replace parts, power cables and actuator switches w/rods required to repair and certify the West Gate (Armistead) vehicle security RSS-2000 finger wedge barriers damaged due to inadvertent activation and subsequent vehicle accident at JBLE-Langley (Joint Base Langley-Eustis, Langley Air Force Base). When submitting your proposal, please make sure the total amount includes the sum for each of the following: 1) CLIN 0001: Parts 2) CLIN 0002: Labor 3) CLIN 0003: Freight Quoters are encouraged to provide the method of compensation with the proposal. Pricing shall be firm for one year period of time. There will be a site visit scheduled for 10:00 am EST 20 JULY 2016 at Langley AFB to see the barriers however, it is impractical to raise the barrier for this site visit due to the length of time that will be required to lower the barrier due to the damage. Please respond with you intentions to attend this site visit and if base access passes are required. Please include your Cage Code and Small Business identifier. No facsimile will be accepted, only electronic document will be accepted. It is the responsibility of the quoter to verify that the contracting office has received the RFQ. Submit your quotation/response to justin.simons@us.af.mil. Reponses must be received no later than Friday 22 July 2016 @ 10:00AM EST. Government will not reimburse the quoter for any costs associated with preparing or submitting a response to this notice.
