Description
This is not a Request for Proposal (RFP) or a Request for Quotation (RFQ); it is strictly a Request for Information (RFI) as defined in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 15.201(e). NO SOLICITATION DOCUMENT EXISTS. This RFI is for planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a RFP or as an obligation on the part of the Government for follow-on acquisition. Responses to this notice are not offers and will not be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. Responders are solely responsible for all expenses associated with responding to this RFI. All information received in response to this RFI that is marked as proprietary will be handled accordingly. Description of Requirement This procurement is for material that is new to the US Military Academy Library. It is sourced from the National Archives in the UK, and consists of the British government secret intelligence and foreign policy files from 1873 to 1953. The emphasis of this collection is on late 19th and early to mid-20th century history. This is primary source data and features original documentary evidence of how Britain's foreign policy was shaped by secret intelligence. Documents include reports, meeting minutes, papers, maps, messages and others. Representative content includes the following areas: --Foreign intelligence reports from Germany and Japan which were intercepted and decided at the Code and Cypher School at Bletchley Park. --The causes, course and the consequences of the war. --British efforts to bring the US into WWII. --The rise of communism in China and SE Asia. --The Cold War and the Korean War.
