- Description
- The Naval Air Systems Command intends to place a Delivery Order under a sole source Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) with General Atomics (GA), San Diego, California. The anticipated order will be for the efforts needed to perform Environmental Qualification Testing of Launch Control Subsystem and Power Conversion Subsystem components, the correction of system deficiencies, repeated dead load testing for reliability growth and Critical Safety Item testing, support of test operations at the EMALS System Functional Demonstration (SFD) site, EMALS SFD Unit Under Test maintenance and spare management to ensure the site remains operational. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. This acquisition is being pursued on a sole source basis under the statutory authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Unless stated herein, no additional information is available. Requests for the same will be disregarded. A determination by the Government not to compete this effort is solely within the discretion of the Government. GENERAL INFORMATION: There is no commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation, make an award or awards, issue an order or orders, or be responsible for any money expended by interested parties before award of a contract for the effort described above.
