- NAICS Code: Radio transmitting antennas and ground equipment manufacturing. In accordance with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Acquisition Management System (AMS) Policy 3.2.2.4, the purpose of this announcement is to inform industry of the FAA's decision to contract via single-source procedures. The FAA intends to award a Single Source Purchase Order for Dual Screen Reflector Yagi Antennas with a corrosion resistant coating. This antenna operates in the lower VHF band where air traffic control frequencies reside. These antennas are used in off-shore and near-to-shore Remote Communication Air/Ground faculties. A competitive competition is not available for this purchase because there is only one manufacturer of antennas with the necessary requirements. The FAA is not seeking or accepting unsolicited proposals. The FAA is not liable for any costs associated with the preparing of a response to this announcement. All responses to this announcement must be directed to the Contracting Officer, Charles McGovern, at charles.mcgovern@faa.gov no late that 5:00pm ET on July 29, 2016.
