- Grand Piano Solicitation The United States Merchant Marine Academy (USMMA), located in Kings Point, New York has a requirement for a New Grand Piano. This procurement is subject to the Buy American Act. This procurement is set aside for small business. A small business is defined in the NAICS code 451140 as firms with annual sales under $11 million. All piano manufacturers conforming to the Buy American Act will be considered. The Yamaha GC2 Grand Piano specifications reflect a baseline for vendors of pianos to match their specifications as close as possible. The Yamaha GC2 is not a preferred manufacturer. The specifications are used as a tool to assist vendors determine which of their products would be best meet the needs of the United States Merchant Marine Academy. All manufacturers of pianos meeting the requirements of this procurement will be considered equally. In addition to the piano USMMA requires: Delivery and Setup. Heavy Quilted Cover. Damp chaser climate control system or equivalent. Matching bench. Tuning after delivery. Durable Piano Dolly All quotes are due at noon Eastern daylight savings time August 5, 2016.
