- DISA Information Assurance Workshop Itinerary August 15 th, 2016 and September 12 th, 2016 Location: Smallwood Hall; Ft. Gorge G. Meade, MD Topic: Transition to Risk Management Framework for IA Schedule: 8:30 am - Arrival and Sidebars 9:00 am - Opening Remarks 9:15 am - Slide Presentation: Information Assurance Reporting for DoD COMSATCOM Solutions 10:00 am - Break 10:15 am - Review of the CIAQ 11:00 am - Discussion 12:15 pm - Closing Remarks Directions: Coming from the North (Baltimore, MD): Take Interstate 95 or I-295 S toward Washington, D.C. to MD State Route 175 E. Follow 175 E until it turns into Annapolis Road. Follow the signs to the Reece Road main gate. Be prepared to present identification, vehicle registration and proof of insurance at the gate. Coming from the South (Washington, D.C): Take Interstate 95 or I-295 N toward Baltimore to MD State Route 175 E. Follow 175 E until it turns into Annapolis Road. Follow the signs to the Reece Road main gate. Be prepared to present identification, vehicle registration and proof of insurance at the gate. When you arrive at Ft. Meade: Proceed through the gate if you already have base access; or proceed to Visitor Center to obtain temporary base access, and then: Enter the post on Reece Rd. Continue down Reece RD until you reach the T-intersection with Cooper Ave. Make a Left onto Cooper Ave. Follow Cooper Ave to the end of the Parade field. Make a Left turn onto Williams Rd. Travel to the end of Williams Rd. Make a Right Turn onto Griffin Ave. Smallwood Hall will be on the right. How to get on base: If you have a CAC Card - If you have a CAC card, simple drive up to the gate on Reece RD and present your ID to be scanned or scan it on the automated access machines. If you do NOT have a CAC card - All visitors should report to the gate at the corner of Reece Road and MD Route 175 in Odenton. To obtain a one day Fort Meade access pass, the visitor must go to the Visitor Control Center during regular business hours which are Mon. to Fri. from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. At a minimum, visitors should be prepared to present two forms of identification with one being a driver's license if operating a motor vehicle when entering the installation.
