- Description
- Amendment #1 - RFQ HU000116Q0655 The purpose of this amendment is to answer questions received in response to this requirement. The due date and time for quotes, July 29th at 11:00 PM Eastern local time, remains unchanged. All other terms and conditions remain the same. •Can you provide a more precise definition of what is considered ultra-fast beam steering for the photo stimulation instrument? A photo-stimulation device that typically runs at 1khz (max 15khz) and allows users to define multiple polygons (up to 20 or more) that can be stimulated in a single pass •Do you have a minimum number of user defined areas that need to be stimulated within a defined time period? Yes, a minimum of 3 user defined areas that need to be stimulated in a single pass. •Are all the laser powers listed measured power out of the end of the fiber or are these the powers exiting the laser prior to entering the fiber? The laser powers are defined at the fiber tip. •What are the laser power requirements for the laser combiner that will be used for the photo stimulation tool? Class IIIB lasers are recommended for use with the photo-stimulation device. We are seeking a 3 channel laser system that uses 15mW per channel (measured at the fiber tip) •Can you confirm that you require three separate laser launches, two with six laser lines and the third with only three? We require 1 six laser line system and 1 three laser line system. This combination is the most cost-effective way to simultaneously provide lasers for both the imaging modalities (TIRF/single-molecule) and the photo-simulation device fiber tip. •One of the stated goals is to "dissect the molecular mechanisms underlying rapid, transient and/or long-term cellular or tissue level processes in living cells or tissues." Is this the goal of this system to be able to accomplish these goals at both high and super resolutions? Yes. •What temporal resolutions are required for both high and super resolution imaging? We are seeking to image at frame rates between 15 frames per second to 50 frames per second while maximizing signal to noise ratio. END OF AMENDMENT #1
