Description

The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Indian Head Explosive Ordnance Disposal Technology Division (NSWC IHEODTD), Indian Head, Maryland, intends to issue a Firm Fixed Price type contract on a SOLE SOURCE BASIS in accordance with FAR 6.302-1; Only one responsible offeror to Networks Electronic Company (NECO) Chatsworth, CA 91311-4409. The NAICS Code is 332994, employee size standard 1000, and The FSC code is 1377. NSWC IHEODTD is pursuing the development and procurement of a replacement MK112 MOD Squib Actuated Switch, DODIC M853. The current build to print design, uses parts which are no longer available. The initial phase of this effort consisted of developing new Squib Actuated Switch using components currently in production, readily available, and documenting the changes from the current M853 design. This procurement consists of Qualification Testing and delivery of the remaining units for use in the fleet. The Period of Performance for this requirement is a 365 days after date of contract award. THIS SYNOPSIS IS FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. The proposed contract action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302.
