Description

1. Introduction/Description Vendors are encouraged to submit comments regarding this draft RRCS Solicitation. This public announcement is being issued in accordance with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Acquisition Management System Policy § 3.2.1.2.1. Interested parties are advised that: This is not a Screening Information Request (SIR) or Request for Proposals; The FAA is not seeking or accepting unsolicited proposals; The FAA will not pay for any information received or costs incurred in preparing responses; and Any costs associated with your response are solely at the interested parties ™ expense. The FAA is seeking comments from vendors who can manufacture and provide engineering support services for the RRCS. The FAA has an anticipated requirement for RRCS equipment as listed in section B, along with associated technical and engineering support for the installation of these systems at various sites throughout the continental United States. 2. Period of Performance It is anticipated that this contract will have a 10 year period of performance, which will consist of a four-year base period and (3) two-year option periods. 3. Set-Aside The FAA intends on utilizing a tiered evaluation approach for this procurement. There will be two vendor evaluation tiers: 1) small business, and 2) other than small business. Small business will take precedence, and offers from other than small business will only be considered if the FAA determines that no viable offer from small business has been received. North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for the procurement will be 335129. 4. Standard Language This is a Request for Information (RFI). Responding to this notice will not be necessary in order for an offeror to participate in the subsequent acquisition, if any. 5. Delivery Requirements Comments must be submitted via electronic mail (e-mail) to Dwayne.berry@faa.gov by no later than August 9, 2016. 6. SIR Attachments All SIR Sections attached below are drafts.
