Description
NASA/ARC is hereby soliciting information about potential sources to provide, Four (4) each High Speed Cameras. OBJECTIVE: NASA is designing and deploying a high-speed imaging system that will be deployed into a high-altitude aircraft, such as the ER-2 or the WB-57. The cameras will also be used on passenger cabin aircraft, such as the King-Air and G3. SPECIFICATIONS: No less than 9 megapixels No greater than 6 micron pixel pitch No less than 1000 frames/second at full resolution Monochrome sensor Battery operable, if attached to the camera, then two per camera AC power adaptors External frame rate timing, trigger, irig inputs 16 GB record RAM with an option for 32 GB On-camera, removable Solid State Drive for immediate on-board download from RAM, three per camera Gig-E or USB communication Programmable to make automatic acquisitions On-sensor auto-trigger based on a change in the image Certified to meet Mil Spec MIL-STD-810D (514.3) Camera control software that permits recording, camera calibration, camera settings, contrast and gain control, RAM segmentation for multiple recordings Foam-padded hard plastic carrying case - Pelican or equivalent - that accommodates the cameras and accessories The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) ARC is seeking capability statements from all interested parties, including Small, Small Disadvantaged (SDB), 8(a), Woman-owned (WOSB), Veteran Owned (VOSB), Service Disabled Veteran Owned (SDVOSB), Historically Underutilized Business Zone (HUBZone) businesses, and Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU)/Minority Institutions (MI) for the purposes of determining the appropriate level of competition and/or small business subcontracting goals for the purchase of Four (4) High Speed Camers. The Government reserves the right to consider a Small, 8(a), Woman-owned (WOSB), Service Disabled Veteran (SD-VOSB), or HUBZone business set-aside based on responses hereto. This synopsis is for information and planning purposes and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government nor will the Government pay for information solicited. Respondents will not be notified of the results of the evaluation. Respondents deemed fully qualified will be considered in any resultant solicitation for the requirement. No solicitation exists; therefore, do not request a copy of the solicitation. If a solicitation is released it will be synopsized in FedBizOpps. It is the potential offerors responsibility to monitor these sites for the release of any solicitation or synopsis. Interested offerors/vendors capable of meeting all high speed camera specifications should submit a capability statement of 2 pages or less indicating your ability to provide cameras and perform all aspects of the effort described herein, company name, point of contact, email address, telephone number, and company size of small or large business. Respondents deemed fully qualified will be considered in any resultant solicitation for the requirement. All interested parties shall submit information to Wendy Takeguchi at wendy.l.takeguchi@nasa.gov no later than 2:00 p.m. (noon) PST, on Wednesday 7/27/2016.
