Description
The purpose of this amendment is to respond to questions as indicated below. Question 1: Has a contractor performed similar work to this for the Government in the past? Answer 1: The Government has purchased High-Grade Computing Nodes before from different contractors. Question 2: Do you know which model of CPU is desired? Answer 2: Offerors may propose any model that meets the minimum specifications of the solicitation. Question 3: Why are CPUs being purchased over GPUs? Answer 3: Offerors may propose GPUs or CPUs that meets the minimum specifications of the solicitation. Question 4: Would the Government consider something other than NetApp for this requirement? Answer 4: Offerors may propose any model that meets the minimum specifications of the solicitation. Question 5: It is noticed that the Government is asking for 6x Intel 750 NVMe 1.2TB 2.5" drives (SSDPE2MW012T4X1). I don't believe the chassis which is requested, H2224XXKR2, would support NVMe 2.5" drives. Would the Intel 750 NVMe 1.2TB AIC (PCIe attached) version be OK (SSDPEDMW012T4X1)? Answer 5. The chassis with modules using 12Gb SAS/SATA backplane will support NVMe 2.5" drives such as the Intel 750 1.2TB 2.5". The 2.5" drive is required for hot-swap capability. Question 6. The configuration is checked with Intel and the configuration requested configuration will not work. The H2224XXKR2 will need to use the S2600TP24R or S2600TP24SR. Answer 6. The required board is the S2600TP24R, which is included in the compute module HNS2600TP24R. Question 7. The RFQ states, "Delivery shall be no less than 20 days after receipt of order, FOB Gaithersburg, MD." I just wanted to verify that it is "no less than 20 days" and not "no more than 20 days." Does the Government not want the equipment for at least 20 days? Answer 7. What it means is that the equipment must be delivered within 20 days after receipt of order.
