- UPDATE 19 July 2016: The solicitation package will be delayed. The solicitation package will be available on or about 9 August 2016. UPDATE 15 July 2016: Solicitation packages will be available on or about 19 July 2016. Contractor shall provide labor, materials, equipment, supervision, transportation, and disposal to remove and replace a harbor entrance light, and make repairs and upgrades at two additional breakwater lights. Demolition of concrete slabs and steel structures are required. Additional incidental work includes the placement of additional rip rap and placement of a new concrete. The lights are located at three different locations in Long Island Sound along the Connecticut coast; Black Rock Harbor Entrance (Bridgeport, CT), Housatonic River Breakwater (Milford, CT), and Duck Island (Westbrook, CT). The period of performance is 118 days. The estimated cost range of this project is between $250,000 and $500,000.00. Performance and Payment Bonds will be required. Solicitation packages will be available on or about 07 JUL 2016. The tentative date for receipt of bids is scheduled for 09 AUG 2016 at 2:00 pm EST. The applicable NAICS code is 237990, Other Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction, with a Small Business Size Standard of $36.5 Million. This acquisition is issued pursuant to FAR Part 14 Sealed Bidding, and is a 100% Set-Aside for Small Business concerns.
