Description

SLAC Drawing # SA3754591501 The penetration waveguide bundles shall include 4 WR650 waveguides, in a 2×2 arrangement, with mitered E-plane bends on the top ends, all oriented in one direction. Each bundle includes a SLAC designed upper support bracket and lower removable bracket. The waveguide bundle, including support brackets, are physically specified in the SLAC assembly drawing SC-375-459-15 (LCLS2 RF Penetration L-Band Waveguide Bundle) and associated drawings referenced therein. Other main waveguide bundle parameter specifications are given in Table 1. Table 1. Penetration Waveguide Main Specifications* - nominal operating frequency 1.3 GHz - operating frequency range +100 kHz around nominal frequency - operating power range 0-7 kW CW per waveguide, w/ up to full reflection @ any phase - return loss (S11& S22) < -40 dB (VSWR < 1.02) - insertion loss (-S21) < 0.09 dB (>98% transmission) - waveguide WR650, corrosion resistant - flange type WR650 standard, flat flange face - material aluminum - exterior high-emissivity ( > 0.9) gray paint - pressurizability airtight and within specs up to 4 psig - radiation must meet specs up to 0.4 MRad accumulated dose - maximum weight 550 lbs. - Quantity 71 **see attachments**
