Description
Description of Requirement Salient Characteristics The Flexible Ureteroscope is indicated for the examination of and the delivery of therapeutic devices for conditions of the urinary tract involving the kidney. Minimal Requirements: The flexible ureteroscope must have an optical portion consisting of an optical image bundle, two light fiber bundles, objective lenses and an eyepiece. It should have a field of view of 116 degrees, depth of field 5-50mm, tip Deflection 270 degrees up and 270 degrees down. Tip must feature reverse deflection of operator use. It must feature a working channel with a T-Leur fitting with a working channel diameter of 3.6Fr, tip diameter of 7.5, working shaft length of 70cm. It is imperative that this flexible ureteroscope be validated for sterilization with the Sterrad 100NX sterilizer as this is the only sterilization method available at the Overton Brook VAMC, Shreveport, LA for this equipment. R11278A1 Flex-X2 Flexible Ureteroscopes are used as sterile instruments for all procedures at our facility that involve stones, or need to visualize the kidney. The Storz product requested is the only known flexible ureteroscope on the market that is currently validated for the Sterrad NX.
