Description

Update 7/22/17: Based on feedback received in response to this notice of intent to sole source and review of the capability statements provided, the DOC will conduct a competitive procurement for Open Data software products. Original Notice: The Department of Commerce (DOC) Contracting Office intends to issue a sole source award to Socrata, Inc of Seattle, WA. This procurement is for the Socrata Open Data Platform (ODP) products, services and support to meet the needs of the Department of Commerce operating units. The estimated ceiling over 5 years is $2 million. The Government intends to procure from only one source under the authority of FAR 13.501(a)(2(i). This will be a commercial acquisition per FAR 13.5. This is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation is available. All responsible sources who can supply products and services that meet or exceed the functions of ODP may submit a by item comparison capability statement including unit pricing information to the Contract Specialist by 12:00 PM EST, Wednesday, July 6, 2016. Interested parties may send this information for consideration by the government to: akram@doc.gov
