- HIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY and a SOLICITATION IS NOT CURRENTLY AVAILABLE. This notice is for information and planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a solicitation or an obligation on the part of the Government. This request for capability information does not constitute a request for proposals. Submission of any information in response to this market survey is purely voluntary. The government assumes no financial responsibility for any costs incurred associated to this request for capability information. Department of Agriculture, Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service, USDA, APHIS, 1920 DAYTON AVE, AMES, Iowa, 50010, United States, is seeking a contractor to provide service for fire alarm systems that require maintenance/ service, and annual inspections required per NFPA 72. The Inspection Technicians shall be NICET certified and confident at operating and repairing Simplex fire protection equipment. Contractor shall have required software and training to understand and troubleshoot Simplex 4010ES, 4100U, 4099-9001 fire alarm panels. The buildings are critical to USDA operations and research and the fire alarm systems are necessary to help warn the building occupants and protect the investment in the buildings and equipment required for continuing research at the NCAH. The USDA APHIS is issuing this sources sought request as a means of conducting market research to identify parties having an interest in and the resources to provide the supervision, labor, materials, equipment, and supplies necessary for the aforementioned services at National Centers of Animal Health in Ames, Iowa. The result of this market research will contribute to determining whether there are adequate sources are available from which to receive competitive proposals. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code to be assigned to this procurement is 561621 - Security Systems Services. Submission Instructions: Interested parties, who consider themselves qualified to perform the listed services are invited to submit a response to this Sources Sought Notice by 4:00 PM (CDT) July 27, 2016. If your organization has appropriate qualifications and capacity to perform these contract services, please provide the following information: (1) A complete and current record of your SAM Registration which includes DUNS number, Organization name, address, contact name, email address, Web site address, telephone number, type of organization, small business type (if any), etc; (2) A capability statement supporting claims of organizational and staffs capability to perform, a list of related services contracts and associated federal customers, (3) if significant subcontracting or teaming is anticipated in order to deliver technical capability, organizations should address the administrative and management structure of such arrangements. USDA requests that potential sources only submit the minimum information necessary and no more than three (3) pages. The SAM record does not count toward the 3 page maximum.
