- SF 1442 - SINLEC16I005 Request For Information SINLEC16I0005 The Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL) is responsible for the development, supervision, coordination, and implementation of international narcotics control assistance activities and international criminal justice issues for the U.S. Department of State (DOS). INL Bogota requires one-hundred (100) well-built, rugged, light-weight, all weather, easy to use, compact, hand-held, low metal and/or nonmetallic, explosives detection devices to be fielded by Colombian National Police security forces. Two identical optional quantities will be considered for this request, one-hundred (100) units each, for a total of three hundred (300) units. Both types of detectors will be tested and evaluated for selection. It is the intention of the government is to identify companies able to provide the hand-held detectors of metal & non-metal materials under this RFI for an ultimate single award contract, Firm-Fixed-Price. For the purposes of this RFI, the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code 334511 Search, Detection, Navigation, Guidance, Aeronautical, And Nautical System And Instrument Manufacturing shall be used. This document shall be used for planning purposed only, as outlined under FAR 52.215-3. This document is NOT a Request for Proposal (RFP) or a Request for Quote (RFQ). It is not to be construed as a formal solicitation or an obligation on the part of the Government to acquire any products or services. Any information provided to the Government, or participation in the activities described herein is strictly voluntary, and will be provided at no cost to the Government. There are TWO deliverables relavent to this request for information: A capabilities statement of relevant products offered to be submitted in a digital or paper format. An Industry Demonstration Event to take place on-site in Colombia.
