- The United States Government intends to award a succeeding lease using other than full and open competition for the Transportation Security Administration that is expiring in 09/30/2016. This justification applies to all TSA continuing need requirements for support and administrative work space that are required in the mission support of multiple Northeast airport and transportation terminals. This TSA space must be located within a less than 1 mile radius of a major highway artery for ease of movement and the ability to effectively carry out its mission. The US Government (Transportation Security Administration) intends to award a succeeding lease set aside for an existing lease that is expiring in West Orange, NJ. The Government requires office and related space yielding a minimum of 29,372 Rentable sq. ft. / 29,372 ANSI/BOMA office area with a minimum of 21 dedicated parking spaces. Due to mission critical duties, the space must be accessible by major arterial roads within a 2 minute drive to an entrance to the Interstate 280 corridor within the following delineated area : Northern boundary - Interstate 280; Southern boundary - Mt. Pleasant Avenue (10); Eastern boundary - Prospect Avenue (577/611); and Western boundary - Pleasant Valley Way (636). The lease shall include all services, maintenance, supplies, utilities, partitioning and tenant alterations must be included as part of the rental consideration. Additional requirements are to have sufficient parking for visitors, and the ability to securely house a 24 hour operation within the space. The Government may consider alternative space if economically advantageous; otherwise the Government intends to pursue a sole source acquisition. All offers should be aware that the Government will consider the cost of moving, alterations, security, etc., when deciding whether it should relocate. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed procurement action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. TSA will not reimburse for any costs incurred by interested parties in providing a notification of interest and/or capability statement in response to this posting. WRITTEN EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST MUST INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING: Building Name and Address, Rentable and Usable Square Footage, Fully Serviced Rental rate and Common Area Factor, available parking, and Building Floor plans, as well as a list of current tenants and their location in respect to the offered space. Interested parties must send this information in writing, via email to Charlotte.Carney1@tsa.dhs.gov by the date specified below. To submit a location for inspection, contact this office by 12:00PM (noon) Friday, August 19, 2016 with the above information. (Submissions by other than the owner or manager of a property must be accompanied by a letter from the owner granting permission to make a general offering of the space.)
