- HDQMWR-16-R-3002 SAQ Curriculum Design Guide Create a comprehensive Curriculum Design Guide (CDG) and associated training package based on the philosophies of the Navy's Sailor Adventure Quest program (SAQ). The CDG will be used to ensure that all leisure programs in the enterprise are presented in a consistent manner and adhere to the SAQ concepts. While this CDG will be written to cover leisure programs engaged in by a wide variety of MWR customers, there is a special need to reach the Junior Sailor, especially the reluctant, but interested sailor - a sailor who has an interest in doing an activity however they won't step forward and engage in learning the activity. The CDG must be written to reach these sailors and to encourage them to engage in recreational pursuits. Examples of leisure programs that Junior Sailors engage include, but are not limited to, camping, backpacking, hiking, self-guided touring, mountain biking, cooking, golfing, fishing and paddle boarding.
