- Please note that this is not a request for quotes or proposals; the Government is seeking information for market research purposes only. Your responses to the information requested will assist the Government in determining the appropriate acquisition method. A solicitation is not currently available. The Government may or may not issue solicitation documents. The Department of Veterans Affairs, Veterans Integrated Service Network (VISN 3), James J. Peters VA Medical Center, Network Acquisitions and Logistics program is conducting market research for qualified firms capable of providing Intelligent Locker Systems for the James J. Peters VAMC. IF RESPONDING AN "OR EQUAL" BRAND YOU MUST PROVIDE THE SPECIFICATION SHEET OF YOUR SUGGESTED MODEL OR YOU WILL BE DEEMED NON RESPONSIVE. Applicable NAICS Code is 541511, Computer Program or software development, custom, with a Small Business size standard of $27.5 Million. This is a market survey for informational and planning purposes only. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION AND DOES NOT OBLIGATE THE GOVERNMENT TO ISSUE A SOLICITATION. Please be advised that the Government will not pay for any information submitted under this announcement. Desired brand is the Traka, Assa Abloy. Please research this model for comprehensive specifications of the desired model. STATEMENT OF WORK A.GENERAL INFORMATION 1.Title of Project Residents in need of lockers in the Community Living Center (CLC) 2.Scope of Work: The contractor shall provide all resources necessary to accomplish the deliverables described in this statement of work (SOW), except as may otherwise be specified for the above project As for electrical, typically, a dedicated, standard 110v power, 20amp circuit will be more than plenty. Again, this will also be determine the vendor engineers. This would be floor standing model, which would also be anchored to the wall for stability. Our engineers could place an electrical outlet through the ceiling to avoid the electrical cords. The area would be in the back of the CLC, stairwell "B". There are hand rails, which would have to be removed. The area is large enough, From the beginning of the hand rail to the end of the hand rail it's approximately 10 feet, depth over 4 feet. Like a PO box, Size: Medium 5 ½" x 11" x 14 ¾" 80 Unit electronic device locker systems for the CLC patients.. The locker system shall have the ability to provide assigned unique identification access to each unit. As well as charging capabilities for electronic devices. The locker system shall have administrative software for central management to record the ingress and egress access to each unit. This system meets the needs of the CLC residents. With these units, which are equipped with RFID asset tagging and power charging capabilities, you will be able to: - Control who has access to which compartment to access which laptop - Know exactly who took the asset, when they took it, if and when they brought it back, and how long they had it - (Optionally, not included in your quote), you can configure: "to know why someone took the asset (using reason codes) "to know if there was anything wrong with the unit when they brought it back, such as cracked screen, viruses, damage to the unit, etc. (using fault codes) "The FIFO (first in first out) option which can randomly assign an asset to an individual rather than the individual simply choosing a compartment, and possibly removing a device that was just recently returned, and therefore, perhaps low battery. This option also helps to make sure all your devices are being used as the same rate "to be fully integrated with your 3rd party systems, such as access control, digital video, time & attendance, visitor management, HR, Active Directory, etc. This locker system will be custom built to the end user specifications. The engineers will review the solution needed and develop the engineering drawings. This is will require a site visit. If you feel that your company is capable of providing this type of system please respond to this sources sought. These lockers will allow the residents of the CLC to place money, watches, jewelry and any valuable. 3.Background: To secure small items for the residents of the CLC. Long Term Care Institute survey team reported the deficiency to secure small items (jewelry, wallet, money, etc.) 4. Performance Period: [Firm-Fixed-Price] The contractor shall provide deliverables required under this SOW in 45calendar days or less from date of award, unless otherwise directed by the Contracting Officer (CO). If the contractor proposes an earlier completion date, and the Government accepts the contractor's proposal, the contractor's proposed completion date shall prevail. 5.
