- Description
- The US Department of Labor, Office of Job Corps, has a requirement for a qualified Contractor to provide design/build services for the replacement of the existing boilers at the Flint Genesee Job Corps located in Flint, Michigan. The work involves the removal and replacement of the existing 2070 MBH capacity boilers located in Buildings A, B, D, E, F, G and H. Also included in the work is the installation of new boiler controls, relief valves, reconnection of the existing boiler piping. The project delivery method is design/build with minimum design required. The estimated price range for construction is between $500,000 to $1,000,000. Interested Contractors are requested to submit a statement of qualifications. Your statement of qualifications should demonstrate the capacity of your firm to perform the required services and include the following information: 1. Previous projects of similar scope and value A. Provide project examples of design and construction services on two and more building envelope assessment and rehabilitation projects with a $500K to $1M constructed value completed within the last five years. B. Address your firm's previous experience on the removal and replacement of boiler (heat) systems. Previous project examples shall include the location of the project, the project owner, brief and concise description of the project scope, specialty design consultants employed, a comparison of the construction budget versus construction award value, and the final contract amount. 2. Project Location Your submission shall also include three or more completed projects in the region of country as stated, indicating familiarity with state and local codes, environmental conditions, economic conditions and experience/qualifications of local design consultants. 3. Cost control, project schedule, safety, and quality of work A. Using the previous project examples include the Contract Award/NTP date, the original contract completion date, and the actual contract completion date for each project. B. Using the previous project indicate the contract award amount, the final contract value, and a percentage of change order value relative to the total construction value for each project. C. Provide EMR Safety Ratings for 2015, 2014, and 2013. Interested firms responding to this Notice should submit the minimum information necessary for the Government to make a determination that the source is capable of satisfying the requirements. The response must be specific to each of the criteria listed above to demonstrate that the respondent is capable. The submissions shall not exceed 20 pages. Please note: This Notice supersedes Solicitation No. DOL-ETA-15-N-00054. RESPONSES ARE DUE ON AUGUST 9, 2016, BY 2:00 PM EDT, AND MUST BE SUBMITTED ELECTRONICALLY VIA E-MAIL TO garnett.eileen@dol.gov (Eileen Garnett, Contract Specialist). Acknowledgment of receipt of responses will not be made, nor will respondents be notified of on the results of the Government's evaluation of the information received. A determination by the Government to proceed with the acquisition is within the discretion of the Government. Please be advised that telephone inquiries will not be accepted.
