- System Description Summary. The CRS(I) Inc. 1, will enhance maneuver and force protection for dismounted Warfighter. The CRS(I) Inc. 1, will enhance maneuver and force protection for dismounted Warfighter. The CRS(I) Inc. 1, will be a maximum of 25 pounds in weight to include the mobile platform and Operator Control Unit (OCU). The CRS(I) Inc. 1, is targeted for a dismounted force, is highly mobile and module capable of being reconfigured for multiple mission roles by adding or removing sensors, modules, mission payloads and/or subsystems. The payloads include: Standard Payload, Engineer Payload, Infantry Payload, Chemical, Biological, Radiological or Nuclear (CBRN) Payload, and Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Payload, which are based on the mission profile. The payloads, which include the manipulator arm, sensors, and additional mission specific cameras, are not included in the maximum 25 pound weight requirement. The CRS(I) Inc. 1, design shall be modular to accommodate future payloads not identified in this specification, as needed for their respective mission set and will be capable to operate through the OCU. The Mobility Base Unit (MBU) consists of the basic robot integrated with the Mobility Platform Radio Subsystem, Controls, Cameras, and Manipulator Arm (MA), Mission specific modular payloads are additions to the MBU. Requirements against the CRS(I) Inc.1, apply to the MBU and any valid combination of payloads, unless otherwise specified in the requirement. Request for Information. Offerors should ensure that any material/data that is provided is marked appropriately to ensure proper handling of all information. Unless otherwise noted herein, anything submitted in response to this RFI shall not be returned to the sender. Respondents shall not be notified of the results of the survey or results of information submitted, and telephone or email inquiries shall not be honored. NOTE: The Government is not asking you to develop or provide drawings or develop any technical data in response to this Request For information. The Government's explicit intent, in this request for information, is not to receive from respondents any proprietary data, trade secrets, business sensitive information, or information considered CONFIDENTIAL under 18.U.S.C. 1905. The Government's constraint does not, in any way, relieve contractor's from their responsibility to properly mark proprietary data when it is provided, in accordance with DFARS 252.227-7013. Nor does it alleviate any requirements for the Government to protect marked data. Response Format. Electronic responses are required: either e-mail or digital media.
