- ACC-Rock Island plans to issue Request For Proposal (RFP) W52P1J-16-R-0096 for the procurement of the following 12 Gauge Shotshell Cartridges: CTG., 12 Gauge Shotgun Shell, #00 Buckshot (A011) National Stock Number (NSN) 1305-01-232-8338, consists of a plastic case, metal head, primer, propellant, wadding and nine lead #00 buckshot pellets. A011 is intended for use in manual and semi-automatic shotguns chambered to fire 12 Gauge, 2 ¾" ammunition (Mossberg 500/590 and Remington 870) for training and tactical purposes. It is packed 25 cartridges per cardboard carton and 42 cartons are packed into a M2A2 ammunition can. Two M2A2 cans are packed into a wire-bound crate. This cartridge differs from commercial shotgun shells due to its military requirements for propellant stability, shelf life of five years and high (+125F) and low (-65F) required functional temperatures. CTG., 12 Gauge Shotgun Shell, #7 ½ Shot (A014) NSN 1305-01-232-8339, consists of a plastic case, metal head, primer, propellant, wadding and #7 ½ lead shot pellets. A014 is intended for use in manual and semi-automatic shotguns chambered to fire 12 Gauge 2 ¾" ammunition (Mossberg 500/590 and Remington 870) for training and marksmanship purposes. It is packed 25 cartridges per cardboard carton and 20 cartons are packed into a fiberboard box before being placed into a fiberboard shipping box. This cartridge differs from commercial shotgun shells due to its military requirements for propellant stability, shelf life of five years and high (+125F) and low (-65F) required functional temperatures. CTG., 12 Gauge Shotgun Shell, #9 Buckshot (A017) NSN 1305-01-232-7415), consists of a plastic case, metal head, primer, propellant, wadding and 9 lead #9 buckshot pellets. A011 is intended for use in manual and semi-automatic shotguns chambered to fire 12 Gauge, 2 ¾" ammunition (Mossberg 500/590 and Remington 870 for training and tactical purposes. This item is commercially packed 25 cartridges into each cartoon. 20 Cartons are packed into a fiberboard box before being placed into a fiberboard shipping box. This cartridge differs from commercial shotgun shells due to its military requirements for propellant stability, shelf life of five years and high (+125F) and low (-65F) required functional temperatures.. This acquisition will be conducted on a full and open competitive basis, and will use a Lowest Price, Technically Acceptable approach to evaluate proposals. The resulting contract will be a Firm-fixed price, 5-year Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract with a maximum quantity of 10M each shotshell cartridges over the life of the contract. A guaranteed minimum quantity, to be awarded on the initial delivery order, will be provided in the upcoming solicitation.
