- Repair Sources Sought, FA8251-16-D-PowerSupply NOTICE: This i s not a solici tation but rather a Sources Sought Synopsis (SSS) to determine potential sources for information and planning purposes only. The purpose of this SSS is to conduct market research to determine if responsible sources exist, to assist in determining if this effort can be competitive and/or a total Small Business Set-Aside. The proposed North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) Code is 811219 which has a corresponding Size standard of $19M. The Government will use this information to' determine the best acquisition strategy for this procurement. The Government i s interested in all small businesses to include 8(a), Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned, Hubzone, and Women-Owned small business concerns. The government requests that i nterested part i es respond to this notice if applicable and identify your small business status to the identified NAICS code. Additionally, please provide any anticipated teaming arrangements, along with a description of similar services offered to the Government and to commercial customers for the past three years. Any responses i nvo l ving team i ng agreements should delineate between the work that will be accomplished by the prime and the work accomplished by the teaming partners. SCOPE The A i r Force i s i ssuing th i s repair sources sought announcement as part of a market research survey to determine if additional sources exi st that could become qualified for repair of the F-16 PSP Power Supply Assembly SRU, NSN 6130-01-473-8223, PIN 750-1, and its components. Description: The Power Supply Assembly i s a large 3kW supply that powers the PSP used in the AN/APG-68 radar system. The main output i s 5V/400 Amps with several auxiliary outputs. Requirement: This is for an estimated 40 repairs per year for 5 years of the PSP Power Supply Assembly. The government does not own any repair manuals, drawings, or detailed parts li sts for the Power Supply Assembly. Additionally, the government does not possess any special test equipment available for repair of the Power Supply Assembly. Therefore, the respondent would need to be able to demonstrate the ability to obtain or create those resources necessary to perform troubleshooting, repair and testing of the Power Supply Assembly in a timely fashion. If the offeror i s able to develop or obtain the data, manuals, parts, and tech orders from another party, they must be able to demonstrate that they have access to such resources and the legal right to use said resources to repair assets for the government. I nterested organ i zations who feel they possess the necessary capabilit i es should respond by prov i ding the Government the follow i ng i nformat i on: a point of contact, cage code, and/or tax ID number, as well as size category (large, small, small disadvantaged, etc), a brief summary of the company's capabilities, description of facilities, personnel, related manufacturing experi ence, and a description of the company's Quality Program. Prov i de any support i ng i nformat i on such as commerc i al literature, catalogues, manua l s, etc. If a respondent chooses to utilize the services of sub-tier vendors or subcontractors, those vendors or subcontractors must meet the criteria specified herein as well. The information received will be utilized by the Air Force in developing its acquisition strategy, Statement of Objectives, Statement of Work, Purchase Description and Specification. Any proprietary information that is submitted may be used as a general concept but specific information will be safeguarded as proprietary if marked and clearly identified in accordance with the applicable Government regulations. The Government requests that non-proprietary information be submitted in response to this Sources Sought. However, should proprietary i nformation be submitted, i t should be marked "PROPR I ETARY" and will be handled accord i ngly. The Government shall not be liable for or suffer any consequential damages for any proprietary information not properly identified. Proprietary information will be safeguarded in accordance with the app l i cable Government regulations. All proprietary information and trade secrets should be clearly identified. The information in this n otice is based on current information available to date. This information is subject to change and is not binding to the Government. Updated information will be provided in future announcements, if applicable and posted electronically on the Federal Business Opportunities website, www.fbo.gov. Responses to this SSS may or may not be returned. Not responding to this Sources Sought does not preclude participation in any future solicitation.
