Description

This is a PRESOLICITATION notice to inform contractors that the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Asheville, NC has a need for oxygen (and various medical gases) tank rentals required to perform medical procedures. The Contractor will only provide medical gas tanks on an "as required" basis. Cylinders will be ordered (when required) by VA staff personnel and replacement cylinders will be delivered/provided by the Contractor. A Firm Fixed Price type contract with one (1) year base period of performance, with the possibility of four (4) one year option periods, which will be exercised at the Government's discretion are anticipated under this solicitation. A formal Request for Quote (RFQ) will be issued in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12 (Acquisition of Commercial Items) and FAR Part 13.5 (Test Program for Certain Commercial Items) on or about 29 July 2016 via FEDBIZOPPS at www.fbo.gov. It is the responsibility of potential offerors to monitor the website for downloading the solicitation and any amendments. The expected performance period will be 1 October 2016 through 30 Sep 2017, with four option years (if exercised). Email, facsimile, and telephonic requests will not be accepted.
